National Art Center - Tokyo......

The exhibition of works by the late Emily Kngwarreye 'Utopia - The Genius of Emily Kngwarreye' opened in Tokyo at the National Art Center on May 28, 2008. It will run for 2 months. Artist Barbara Weir traveled to Tokyo for the opening and met up with the Australian Ambassador there.

Of course Mbantua Gallery is very pleased with the reception given to it's own piece of art 'Earth's Creation' by the Japanese people. It has been used for advertising of the Exhibition and photos of it can even be found on the walls of the bus shelters!

Tim and the staff at the Gallery put out a quarterly newsletter that is mailed to interested people all over the world. 

The newsletter often includes an account of a Utopia art trip with Tim or the Field team, the fabulous ‘around the traps’ providing snippets of what’s happening at the Gallery, with the artists and the aboriginal art industry, as well as upcoming trips to major Australian cities and around the world, and over 50 new paintings available only to newsletter readers.
