Bush food (Imuna) is a popular subject for many of our artists. Some of the food to be painted include large tasty witchetty grubs which are dug up from the base of the witchetty bush and can be either eaten 'as is' or lightly roasted over hot coals. Honey ants (Yerrampe) are a sweet bush food for the Aboriginal people. Wild fruit usually grows in abundance any time of the year after a good rain.
