In this Gallery we will show you the Australian Aboriginal art that we consider to be an investment piece, art that should retain it's value (although no one can guarantee that!) and can be added to your fine collection of other art or maybe it will be just the start to your collection....
What makes these pieces standout art?? They are all painted by the very best of the 'Utopian' artists of Central Australia. Also they are some of the best works we've seen which have been painted by these artists - even a great artist can do bad paintings occasionally! They have been hand picked and set aside over 20 years by Mbantua gallery owner Tim Jennings.
Most of the artists in this gallery are very well known - even famous - the late Emily Kame Kngwarreye is one of the most important female artists in Australian art history! We have 3 of Emily's paintings in this gallery, MB09065, MB09066 and MB07806 - only for the serious investor! The late Minnie Pwerle, mother of Barbara Weir has paintings in this gallery as has Janelle Stockman, a brilliant young artist and mother who's career was truly taking off with some wonderful modern Aboriginal paintings when she was killed in a tragic accident.
Barbara Weir and Gloria Petyarre are both represented in this gallery. Both are very well know artists and have done extensive shows within Australia and overseas. Barbara paints her Grass Seed Dreaming, MB025722 and My Mothers Country, MB026661. Gloria paints Leaves MB043020 and Mountain Devil Lizard Dreaming, MB09053.
Kudditji Kngwarreye is Emily's brother and famous in his own right with many paintings of his being most sought after by many people. Kudditji's paintings are very distinctive. Look at CK0004 and CK0015.....
